Douglas A. Haydock
President & Chief Executive Officer
Douglas has over 30 years of industry experience in virtually all facets of the Canadian financial services industry, latterly as the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of LPWS. He has built a proven track record in such areas as corporate finance, syndication, mergers & acquisitions, business development, regional management, retail branch management, compliance, securities operations, treasury and recruitment with such firms as RBC Dominion Securities, Richardson Greenshields, and Wellington West Capital. In addition to many industry-related qualifications, Doug is a graduate of McGill University in history and political science.
Jason Letourneau, CPA, CA
Vice President Finance
Jason is an In-Charge accountant in the Quebec branch of Grant Thornton LLP, and provides corporate accounting oversight for LPWS. He joined Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton LLP in the auditing department in 2009. Jason graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a Bachelors Degree of Commerce in 2011 and obtained his CA designation in 2013. Jason has led audits for private and public companies in many sectors ranging from manufacturing, universities, private schools, non-profitable organizations and health care services.
Chief Administrative Officer
Tara is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the organization. Tara makes excellent use of her organization and communication skills to ensure that the LPWS’ team has the information, resources, and support it needs to effectively serve their clients needs. Her leadership has been instrumental in Legacy Partners being able to execute its mission of delivering timely, innovative, and insightful service to clients. With a specialized double major in Communications Studies and Sociology, Tara graduated with an Honours BA from York University.
Zeeba is responsible for assisting with the day-to -day operation for the organization. She uses her ability to organize and problem solve to assist the LPWS team. Zeeba has a diploma in Marketing from the Institute of British Columbia.
Alexander Beverly, MBA
Aleck is responsible for supporting the analysis and launch of new investment opportunities, ensuring all due diligence has been completed. In addition, he has expanded his duties to assist senior team members in business development. Prior to Aleck’s experience in IT sales, he also provided technology analysis solutions and strategic direction for small enterprise operations.
Aleck has a B.Comm from the University of Guelph in Economics and Finance and an MBA in Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.
John Vice, MBA
John expands our business development team and liaisons with private companies seeking to raise investment capital. For the past 10 years he has been involved in mergers and acquisitions with mid-market companies and also has extensive experience in the sell-side analysis and risk management. John holds a BA in Sociology from Trent University and an MBA in Information Technology Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University. John is an avid investor and recently self-published a book. He was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, where he currently resides.
Corporate Communications Consultant to LPWS
David Moorcroft provides public affairs and corporate communications counsel and services to LPWS.
David is an award-winning communicator who has worked in the fields of journalism and communications for some 35 years, including 15 as Senior Vice-President and Head of Global Communications for Canada’s largest financial institution. As head of communications at Royal Bank of Canada, David was responsible for corporate reputation, served as the firm’s chief spokesperson, directed the public affairs strategy for the Chief Executive Officer, and helped RBC earn the designation of Canada’s Most Respected Corporation five years in a row.
Since retiring from RBC in 2008, David has been working with companies in Canada, the United Sates and the United Kingdom through his communications consulting firm, David Moorcroft Communications (DMC). He is also the co-founder of Strategy2Communications Inc.(S2C), which helps large organizations develop and translate strategy into effective communications for their key stakeholders.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, David attended Loyola College at Concordia University where he graduated with honours.
Koko Yamamoto, CPA, CA
McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP
Koko Yamamoto is a partner in the accounting firm of McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP and provides corporate audit services for LPWS. She joined McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP after obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia in 1996 and then obtained her CA in 2001 while articling with the firm. In addition to providing auditing, accounting and tax services to various organizations, Koko has extensive audit experience with publicly-traded and private companies and is registered with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada as a panel auditor.
